In this email: Volunteering, Crackerjack Meet, Meets home and away, America's Next Great Dive Rep, End of Year Party, and more.  But first:

Last week I did the most embarrassing thing I've ever done in public.  I had to turn and ask the crowd if there were any Chesterbrook parents in attendance, and if they could volunteer to work the table.  Not a single person raised their hand.  Not only did we not have enough volunteers to run the meet, but not a single Chesterbrook parent showed up to cheer their diver on.  I have never been so embarrassed by our pool.

We need table worker volunteers for the A meet at Woodley Pool in Falls Church tomorrow, July 9th.  We currently have NO volunteers signed up.  We also need one more judge.  

That's it.  Volunteer or we forfeit.

We need volunteers for the B Meet at home on Thursday, July 11th.

We need 2 table workers, and announcer, and two judges.  The B meet is much more informal, and much quicker.  I understand there are far fewer divers at the B meet, so parents are facing a more demands on their time, but we simply cannot have a meet if nobody helps.  The other teams are coming with their parents.

Crackerjack Meet:  Register Today.

Going to crackerjack?  The deadline to register is today, July 8th at midnight (so coach Dave has tomorrow to do his part).  We need RSVP's for this one because it's NVSL-wide so there's more paperwork to prepare.  Talk to the coaches if you have questions (or email me).

A Meet at Woodley Pool in Falls Church on Tuesday, July 9.  B Meet at Chesterbrook on Thursday, July 11.

Please arrive at 5pm at Woodley to warm up.  The address is 7421 Camp Alger Avenue, Falls Church, VA 22042.  The meet will start promptly at 6pm.  

For the B Meet our warmups officially run from 4pm to 5pm.  Look out for a schedule change later this week.  Due to the small number of divers, we may cut warmups to half an hour starting at 5pm for us and 5:30 for Highlands.

End of Season Party - Tuesday, July 23rd from 6pm to 9pm

Everyone - divers and families alike, should join us for the end of season dive party at Chesterbrook.  We'll bring in a catered dinner, play some games in the dive well, and give out awards.  We hope everyone can make it.  If anyone is willing to give Theresa and I a hand putting this all together, please reach out.  We'll put some signups on Swimtopia as well.

Sorry for the dour start to this email, but when it comes to supporting our team, we have to do better.  I know we can.
